WIN Founder Lana Hempsall has written in The Spectator that Labour’s Welfare Bill has been gutted of its original ambitions, leaving in place a costly and dysfunctional disability benefits system that the government itself admits is no longer fit for purpose. Lana concludes that true compassion means restoring fairness and independence, not entrenching dependence, and warns that Labour has so far chosen to preserve a failing model rather than build one that works.
